"The Morning Show" is a collection of news, human interest stories, guest appearances on topics of general interest, along with news, music, weather, sports and politics.  "The Morning Show" is timely, never dull, and sometimes controversial.... but always entertaining. "Harvey T."
is the anchor for the morning line-up at KEDU Radio.
Harvey is a 30-year plus veteran of morning radio shows from around the country. He is not the average "Morning Guy". Not only is Harvey the Program Director and Chief Operator, but at one time or another, he has been the program director of every commercial radio station in Ruidoso since moving to Lincoln County in 1999. Harvey helped start the KEDU project in early 2001, taking the project on a full-time basis in February 2003, and placing the station on-the-air, officially, on October 31, 2003. The first program aired was the original 1947 radio broadcast of  "The War of the Worlds."

For over three decades, Harv Twite has been involved with local and group broadcasting companies in the United States. During that time, Harvey has been recognized for his care and contributions to the communities he has lived in, as well as recognition from his peers in the broadcasting industry. Over the years, Harvey has been the recipient of many broadcasting and community service awards. Most recently,

John P. Sugg is a highly experienced litigator with extensive courtroom experience. A native New Mexican, John received his Bachelors of Arts Degree from the University of New Mexico graduating with top honors (summa cum laude). John attended the University Of New Mexico School Of Law where he graduated with honors (magna cum laude) finishing in the top 10 of his law school class. John worked as a law clerk for the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of New Mexico where he co-authored an appellate brief for the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. After law school, John joined the Second Judicial District Attorney’s Office (Bernalillo County) where he was a gang prosecutor, a supervisor of the largest division of the office, and the head of the Repeat Offender Program. In 2013, John relocated to Lincoln County where he served as Deputy District Attorney in charge of the Lincoln County Office of the Twelfth Judicial District Attorney’s Office (Lincoln and Otero Counties) until January 2015 when he left the DA’s Office and founded The Law Offices of John P. Sugg, LLC. John has been recognized by the New Mexico District Attorney’s Association and the Prosecutor’s Section of the State Bar as one of the top litigators in the State receiving two “Prosecutor of the Year” Awards. In 2009, John was recognized as the Rookie Prosecutor of the Year for the State of New Mexico. He was again recognized as one of the State’s top attorneys when he was recognized in 2013 as the Prosecutor of the Year for the Twelfth Judicial District. John has built a reputation as a zealous courtroom advocate and is considered to be one of the best litigators in the State.  More

The episodes of the pageant are based on historical facts of the notorious Lincoln County War, and in particular its focus is centered upon the best remembered of its fighters, Billy the Kid. The Pageant portrays many scenes to include the killing of John Tunstall which precipitated Billy's wrathful vengeance, the Battle of Blazer's Mill in which the courageous "Buckshot Roberts" stood off Billy and his twelve cohorts, the siege of the McSween House, up to Billy's incarceration in the Lincoln County Courthouse and his remarkable escape. More

Bill grew up in the Colorado Rockies and had a successful career in law enforcement, serving as both a Deputy Sheriff and a Deputy U.S. Marshal. He is a graduate of the Colorado Law enforcement Academy, the Federal Law Enforcement Academy and the U.S. Marshal’s Academy. Prior to law enforcement Bill served with the U.S. Marines as a Corpsman.  More



 


012815  Guest: Curt Temple, Candidate for Ruidoso School Board  Hear It
  Curt was born and raised in southern California. He moved to Ruidoso his freshman year of high school, and graduated from Ruidoso High in 1981. His wife Yelena has worked twenty years for the district as a high school science teacher, student council sponsor, and track coach. Their daughter, Marikka  and son Seth atteneded RHS.

Curt is the Planning Director and Certified Flood Plain Manager for Lincoln County. He is a board member of Ruidoso-Lincoln County Crime Stoppers Inc. Curt values community service. He enjoys spending time officiating high school basketball, coaching little league football and baseball. He is a member of St. Eleanor’s Catholic Church, and belongs to the Knights of Columbus. Curt is honored to serve our community and children as an elected school board member.

Jack Swickard - Jack Swickard served in the U.S. Army for four years, from December 1965-December 1969. From February 1967-February 1968, Swickard was a pilot with the 118th Assault Helicopter Company stationed at Bien Hoa, Republic of Vietnam. During his year in Vietnam, he was awarded two Distinguished Flying Crosses, the Bronze Star Medal, 23 Awards of The Air Medals, and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry. On his return from Vietnam, he served as adjutant of the 155th Aviation Battalion at Robert Gray Army Airfield.
After leaving the Army, Swickard returned to The Albuquerque Tribune as a reporter.
