Rainmaker Golf Fundraiser - Benefit

A golf tournament whose proceeds will go toward financing a program to feed hungry kids will be held Saturday at the prestigious Rainmakers golf course laid out over beautiful 18 holes adjacent to the Spencer Theater.

"This is just a great opportunity for adults to play so kids can eat," said Elizabeth Potter, an administrator of the Food 4 Kids Backpack Program whose distribution of food this year alone is hovering at the 7,000 backpack mark.

"We are grateful to the folks at Rainmakers who have been so helpful and generous in staging this tournament and we are confident Ruidoso Valley golfers will take advantage of this opportunity to enjoy this awesome course while they are at the same time giving valuable help to children who need nutritional assistance," Potter added.

The 20-team scramble tournament will have a 1 p.m. shotgun start and include the golf, lunch and prizes for $125 per player or $500 for a team of four. There also will be a silent auction throughout the day. Participants are invited to form their own four-person teams or individuals can contact the golf course at (575) 336-7500 to be assigned to a team.  Read the Ruidoso news article: Click Here

About us and our beginning. . We have always wanted to live in the mountains and Ruidoso has always drawn us. As small children we would go to the mountains with our families and wish someday we could live here.

We started as just a coffee shop with one sandwich... the Gyro... then our locals wanted more. Then came the French Dip and the BLT, sandwiches, Hot Dogs and Hamburgers. The Burrito got its start as a way to feed the younger crowd - a killer Burrito was born. The Cubano arrived via Lynn's stay in Florida. It's the
